Durwood A. Nowell Jr DMD has practiced general dentistry since June 1975. A native of the Wiregrass, he is a graduate of Headland High School. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Alabama. Dr. Nowell received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the School of Dentistry University of Alabama Birmingham in 1970. After dental school he went on to serve as a Dental Officer in the U.S. Army, serving 3 years and leaving active duty as a Major. Dr. Nowell has been a practicing dentist in Dothan since 1975. He values the relationships he’s grown with patients over the years. He also has 2 children that he likes to visit and spend time with. If he’s not in the chair serving patients or visiting with family, you’ll find him on a nearby golf course or relaxing at the beach.
