What is the process for getting a dental crown?

The process typically involves two appointments. During the first visit, we'll prepare the tooth by removing any decay and shaping it to fit the crown. An impression will be taken and sent to a dental lab where the crown is made. A temporary crown will be placed until the permanent one is ready. On your second visit to Royal Dental Whittier, we'll fit and cement the permanent crown into place.
